A little about me…

Troy Tudor today.

My hope is that there are many more with this entrepreneurial spirit that seek the rewards that come from risk-taking and world shaping.

I have a passion or spirit or drive which I find hard to put into words. In its most recognizable form it manifests itself as an entrepreneurial spirit. I recently read an article by Dr. Jeff Cornwall that said it comes from our culture, since our founding, our culture was fostered by our freedoms. I think that it is something deeper than that and that those of us that have this flame have come together and shaped our culture. For me that is a primary part of the experience, taking what is around me and shaping it, very similar to an artist, but with the mediums of people, projects and opportunities.

I do believe we need to guard and foster these freedoms that have defined our culture. We are indeed seeing a fundamental shift from a spirit of entrepreneurship and self-reliance to a spirit of entitlement. As for me, this is not acceptable; my entrepreneurial spirit is a drive deep in my core values. My hope is that there are many more with this entrepreneurial spirit that seek the rewards that come from risk-taking and world shaping.

The beautiful Organ mountians.

The beautiful Organ mountians.

Transplanted to the West as a kid, the sand, sun and green chile have gotten into my blood. I have a love for the Southwest and all of its enchantment. Here I have built my life which includes my beautiful wife and four…yes I said four daughters. I have a great life with them in it, wouldn’t trade it for anything.

What’s important to me…

My relationship with God is the most important thing to me. I need Him and while some may consider that a sign of weakness, I consider it my greatest strength.

I think you already know my family is important.

My country would be next, although very concerned over her condition, I am still proud of her.

My community is a high priority, and I am very involved in it. I want this to be the best place it can be for my family and friends. I now work for my community full time as the Vice President of the Greater Las Cruces Chamber of Commerce.

Some things I enjoy…

I have been an avid outdoors-man my whole life and enjoy backpacking, hiking, camping, hunting, and the like.

Photography is a hobby that has grown and become a part of my work.

Horses, I agree with Winston Churchill, There is something about the outside of a horse that is good for the inside of a man.

Shooting, well remember I have four daughters after all. I love shooting and am an avid supporter of our right to bear arms.

Thanks so much Dean, I had to take my own advice and just do this. Wish we could visit more often.
